Mu Cang Chai is the amazing mountain area located about 300 km from Hanoi with spectacular terraced rice field that had been recognized as National Heritage of Vietnam. Tu Le Town
This is beautiful valley about 50 Kms from Mu Cang Chai. Different to Mu Cang Chai, in here local people can cultivate 2 crops of rice every year so there will be more chances of taking photograph with rice here. On the field, there are many small hut, that can make your photo of the rice field more interesting with beautiful mountain background.
Lim Mong Valley
One of the most beautiful and impressive valleys for taking photograph in the North of Vietnam. Located right on the food of Khau Pha – one of the most spectacular pass in Vietnam, you can take the amazing photo of the vally from high view point of the pass or just turn right from the pass to the valley and taking photo of local people, rice field and beautiful river running across the valley.
Terraced rice field along Mu Cang Chai
Mu Cang Chai terraced rice field is very beautiful scenery along the highway. In over 10 kms of winding road, you can enjoy the amazing scenery of endless terrace rice field in many different shape and perspective. Some parts of the field locate along the river are really amazing for your photograph.
La Pan Tan
Beautiful area of terrace rice field located on the right hand side of the road with really amazing scenery of the rice field. The most beautiful terraced fields are located in three villages La Pan Tan, Che Cu Nha and Ze Xu Phing.
Ba Nha
The most impressive and my favorite destination for Mu Cang Chai place in North Vietnam Photo Tour. There is a trail up to mountain at Ba Nha Bridge located 10 km from Mu Cang Chai town. You will not see any scenery from the road, but the hike about 3,5 kms to the mountain will give you the most amazing scenery of Mu Cang Chai.
Local villages of the hill tribe
There are three hill tribe people living in the area of Mu Cang Chai: Thai, Dazo and Mong people and their villages are always the highlight for your photograph tour here.
The best time for Mu Cang Chai photography tour
As the best highlight of Mu Cang Chai in Vietnam is the terrace rice field so the best time to take the photograph here is in the rice crop from June to October. The beginning of the crop will start with the rain season, so they can have water to supply for the field. The local people call this is Falling Water Season. There will be allots of activities on the field when they start the crop. The middle of the crop will be peaceful in beautiful green color in all over of the field. The harvest from September to October is the most beautiful opportunities for taking photograph with golden color of rice and exciting activities of local hill tribe in the harvest time.
How many days you need for taking photograph in Mu Cang Chai ? You need at least two days to take photograph in Mu Cang Chai. But if you have time, you can easily to spend a week here due to the beauty of the nature as well as the activities of local hill tribe on their rice field.
